It should be read together with our:
- Privacy Policy
- Important Legal Notice & Risk Disclosure
This Policy explains:
- what cookies and similar technologies are;
- why we use them;
- the analytics and advertising providers we use;
- how long certain technologies may remain on your device;
- how you can accept, reject or change your preferences; and
- how privacy choices may operate in different jurisdictions.
You can review or change your preferences at any time through Cookie Settings.
1. Who is responsible for the website?
Elitelia is a commercial brand under which different entities may provide or coordinate services.
The legal entity responsible for the operation of www.elitelia.com is:
Elitelia LLC
30 N Gould St E, Sheridan, Wyoming
Privacy enquiries may be sent to:
Further information regarding the processing of personal information is available in our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on a browser or device when a user visits a website.
Cookies can perform different functions.
For example, they may:
- enable essential website functions;
- remember user preferences;
- distinguish one browser from another;
- measure website traffic;
- help understand how visitors navigate a website;
- measure whether an advertising campaign generated an enquiry;
- support remarketing or retargeting; and
- help improve website and advertising performance.
Some cookies are created directly by Elitelia’s website.
Others are created or accessed by external providers such as Google, Meta or LinkedIn.
3. Similar technologies
This Policy uses the term “cookies” broadly to include other technologies that can perform similar functions.
These may include:
- tracking pixels;
- advertising pixels;
- JavaScript tags;
- conversion tags;
- browser local storage;
- pseudonymous identifiers;
- device or browser identifiers;
- advertising click identifiers; and
- similar technologies.
For example, Google Ads may use first-party _gcl_* cookies and browser storage to preserve information relating to advertising clicks and conversion measurement.
LinkedIn Insight Tag can create cookies and other pseudonymous identifiers used for conversion measurement and website audiences.
Meta Pixel uses pixel and browser technologies to measure website activity and advertising performance.
4. Why Elitelia uses cookies
Elitelia uses cookies and similar technologies for four principal purposes.
Strictly Necessary
These technologies are required for the website to operate correctly or to provide functions explicitly requested by the user.
They may be used for purposes such as:
- website security;
- technical operation;
- fraud prevention;
- load balancing;
- remembering cookie-consent choices; and
- maintaining essential website functionality.
These technologies cannot generally be disabled through our cookie-preference interface where they are genuinely necessary for the operation of the website.
Preferences
Where used, preference technologies may remember choices such as:
- language;
- interface preferences; or
- similar website settings.
These technologies are only used where relevant to website functionality.
Analytics
Analytics technologies help us understand how visitors use the Elitelia website.
They may allow us to measure:
- visitor numbers;
- sessions;
- page views;
- traffic sources;
- time spent on pages;
- navigation patterns;
- device and browser characteristics;
- approximate location;
- interactions with website content; and
- successful enquiry submissions.
Elitelia expects to use Google Analytics 4 for these purposes.
Advertising
Advertising technologies help us understand whether advertising campaigns generate meaningful website visits and enquiries.
Depending on your consent choices and applicable law, they may also support:
- conversion measurement;
- advertising attribution;
- remarketing or retargeting;
- creation of advertising audiences;
- campaign optimisation;
- frequency management;
- advertising personalisation where enabled; and
- aggregated audience analysis.
Elitelia expects to use:
- Google Ads
- Meta Pixel
- LinkedIn Insight Tag
for these purposes.
5. Technologies used by Elitelia
The precise technologies used may change as the website, advertising campaigns and service providers change.
The Cookie Settings interface available on the website should display the current technologies detected or configured on the site.
The principal technologies we expect to use are described below.
Google Analytics 4
Provider: Google
Category: Analytics
Google Analytics 4 helps Elitelia understand how visitors use the website.
Information processed may include:
- pages viewed;
- session information;
- interactions;
- approximate geographic location;
- device and browser information;
- traffic source;
- campaign information; and
- conversion events.
Google Analytics uses first-party cookies including:
_ga
Used to distinguish users.
Default expiration: 2 years, although browser restrictions and configuration may shorten this period.
_ga_<container-id>
Used to maintain session state.
Default expiration: 2 years, although browser restrictions and configuration may shorten this period.
Google Analytics settings may be configured differently from the provider’s defaults.
Where analytics consent is denied, Google Analytics will be configured in accordance with the consent mechanism implemented by Elitelia.
Google Ads
Provider: Google
Category: Advertising
Elitelia may use Google Ads technologies for:
- advertising conversion measurement;
- campaign attribution;
- remarketing;
- audience measurement;
- campaign optimisation; and
- personalised advertising where enabled, permitted and consented to.
Google advertising technologies may use first-party cookies beginning with:
_gcl_*
These may store information relating to an advertising interaction or click in order to support conversion measurement.
Google Conversion Linker may also use browser local storage, including identifiers such as:
_gcl_ls
The exact cookies and retention periods may depend on the advertising configuration and Google services used.
Google advertising URLs may also contain identifiers such as:
- GCLID;
- DCLID; or
- similar campaign identifiers.
These may be used to attribute website activity to a particular advertising interaction.
Meta Pixel
Provider: Meta Platforms
Category: Advertising
Elitelia may use Meta Pixel to measure the effectiveness of advertising shown through Meta services, including Facebook and Instagram.
Depending on configuration and consent, Meta Pixel may be used for:
- conversion measurement;
- campaign attribution;
- remarketing or retargeting;
- website audience creation;
- advertising optimisation; and
- measurement of advertising performance.
Meta may receive information relating to:
- website visits;
- pages viewed;
- browser or device characteristics;
- website interactions;
- advertising interactions;
- conversion events; and
- pseudonymous identifiers.
Meta may use cookies and identifiers whose names and retention periods depend on Meta’s current technology, configuration and whether the visitor uses Meta services.
The current cookies detected on the Elitelia website should be shown through Cookie Settings where applicable.
Elitelia does not intentionally transmit the contents of confidential client documents, financial statements, identification documents or detailed transaction information to Meta for advertising purposes.
LinkedIn Insight Tag
Provider: LinkedIn
Category: Advertising
Elitelia may use LinkedIn Insight Tag for:
- conversion measurement;
- advertising attribution;
- website retargeting;
- website audiences;
- campaign reporting;
- Website Actions; and
- aggregated professional audience insights.
LinkedIn Insight Tag may process information such as:
- page URL;
- referring URL;
- IP address;
- browser and device characteristics;
- timestamp;
- page visits;
- website actions; and
- pseudonymous advertising identifiers.
The Insight Tag may create cookies in the visitor’s browser.
LinkedIn also uses a first-party pseudonymous identifier known as the LinkedIn Ads ID in certain jurisdictions and configurations.
The exact LinkedIn cookies, identifiers and retention periods may change according to LinkedIn’s technology and the configuration used by Elitelia.
Elitelia does not intentionally configure LinkedIn Insight Tag to receive the contents of confidential financial, tax, identity or transaction information submitted by users.
6. Summary of principal cookies and identifiers
The following table summarises the main technologies currently expected to be used.
| Provider | Technology / Cookie | Category | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Elitelia / consent provider | Consent preference cookie(s) | Necessary | Remember cookie choices | Depends on CMP configuration |
| Google Analytics | _ga | Analytics | Distinguish users | 2 years by default |
| Google Analytics | _ga_<container-id> | Analytics | Maintain session state | 2 years by default |
| Google Ads | _gcl_* | Advertising | Advertising attribution and conversion measurement | Depends on configuration |
| Google Ads | _gcl_ls | Advertising | Preserve advertising click information in browser storage | Depends on configuration |
| Meta | Meta Pixel cookies / identifiers | Advertising | Conversion measurement, audiences and retargeting | Depends on Meta configuration |
| Insight Tag cookies / identifiers | Advertising | Conversion measurement, audiences and retargeting | Depends on LinkedIn configuration |
This table is intended to describe the principal technologies used by Elitelia.
Because third-party providers may update their technologies and because certain cookies only appear under specific conditions, the Cookie Settings interface should be treated as the most current description of cookies detected or configured on the website.
7. Consent
In jurisdictions where applicable law requires prior consent for non-essential cookies or similar technologies, Elitelia requests that consent through the website’s cookie-preference interface.
When required, analytics and advertising technologies should not store non-essential cookies until the relevant consent has been obtained.
Users may be offered options such as:
Accept All
Allows the use of the non-essential categories selected in the consent interface.
Reject Non-Essential
Allows only technologies that are necessary for the operation of the website.
Manage Preferences
Allows users to choose which optional categories they wish to permit.
You may change or withdraw your choices at any time through Cookie Settings.
Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out before the preference was changed.
8. Google Consent Mode
Elitelia expects to use Google Consent Mode in connection with Google Analytics and Google Ads.
Consent Mode allows the Elitelia cookie-preference interface to communicate users’ consent choices to Google services.
Relevant Google consent signals may include:
analytics_storage
Controls storage relating to analytics.
ad_storage
Controls storage relating to advertising.
ad_user_data
Controls whether user data may be sent to Google for advertising-related measurement purposes.
ad_personalization
Controls whether information may be used for personalised advertising.
Where consent is denied, Google tags may modify their behaviour according to the applicable Consent Mode configuration.
Depending on how Elitelia configures Consent Mode, Google may use limited cookieless measurement signals when consent is denied.
Further details about this processing are available through Google’s own documentation and privacy information.
9. Advertising and remarketing
Where legally permitted and subject to your consent choices, Elitelia may use advertising technologies to show advertisements to people who have previously visited the website.
For example:
A visitor may read an Elitelia Corporate Finance page and subsequently see an Elitelia advertisement on LinkedIn, Google, Facebook or Instagram.
Advertising platforms may use pseudonymous identifiers to associate browser activity with advertising audiences.
Elitelia generally receives aggregated advertising reports rather than a list identifying every individual included in an audience.
The use of these technologies does not mean that Elitelia provides advertising platforms with confidential client files or detailed information about a client mandate.
10. Conversion tracking
Elitelia may use Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn technologies to understand whether advertising results in actions such as:
- visiting a particular page;
- clicking a relevant button;
- submitting an enquiry; or
- reaching the Elitelia contact confirmation page.
For example, when a user successfully submits the contact form and reaches:
/contact/thank-you/
Elitelia may record a conversion event for advertising-measurement purposes.
Conversion tracking is intended to help Elitelia understand which advertising campaigns generate genuine enquiries.
We do not intentionally configure advertising pixels to receive the substantive text written in the enquiry form, financial statements, identity documents or other confidential information.
11. Data minimisation in advertising tags
Elitelia aims to configure analytics and advertising technologies so that they measure website actions without unnecessarily transmitting confidential information.
In particular, advertising and analytics tags should not intentionally transmit:
- copies of identification documents;
- financial statements;
- bank details;
- passwords;
- detailed source-of-funds information;
- detailed tax information;
- confidential business-sale information;
- confidential financing documentation; or
- the substantive contents of private client communications.
Where possible, tracking should be based on generic events such as:
- page view;
- button click;
- form started;
- form submitted; or
- enquiry completed.
rather than the substantive information contained in the form.
12. First-party and third-party cookies
First-party cookies
First-party cookies are stored under the domain the user is visiting.
Examples may include Elitelia consent cookies, Google Analytics cookies and certain advertising attribution cookies configured as first-party cookies.
Third-party cookies
Third-party cookies are associated with a domain other than the website being visited.
Advertising and social-media providers may use third-party technologies depending on:
- browser settings;
- provider configuration;
- user login status;
- jurisdiction;
- consent status; and
- changes in browser privacy technology.
Modern advertising platforms increasingly use a combination of first-party cookies, third-party technologies, pseudonymous identifiers and server-side or cookieless measurement methods.
For that reason, this Policy applies to cookies and similar technologies, not only traditional third-party cookies.
13. International data transfers
Google, Meta and LinkedIn operate internationally.
Information collected through analytics or advertising technologies may therefore be processed in countries outside the jurisdiction in which the visitor is located.
Where Elitelia is responsible for an international transfer and data protection law requires a transfer mechanism, appropriate safeguards will be used as described in our Privacy Policy.
Providers may also rely on their own legal transfer mechanisms when processing information as independent controllers or service providers.
Please review our Privacy Policy for further information.
14. How to change your cookie preferences
You may review or modify your preferences at any time by selecting:
Cookie Settings
The Cookie Settings link should remain accessible from the footer of the website.
Changing your preferences may affect future use of optional analytics and advertising technologies.
Previously stored cookies may remain on the device until they expire or are deleted through browser settings, although they should no longer be used in ways inconsistent with the user’s current consent status where applicable.
15. Browser controls
Most browsers allow users to:
- view stored cookies;
- delete cookies;
- block cookies;
- block third-party cookies;
- configure cookie permissions; and
- clear website data.
Browser controls vary between providers.
Blocking all cookies may affect certain website functions.
Changing browser settings does not necessarily prevent every form of analytics or advertising measurement because some technologies do not rely exclusively on traditional cookies.
16. Global Privacy Control and U.S. privacy choices
Certain U.S. privacy laws may provide eligible residents with rights concerning the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising or similar processing.
Advertising technologies such as Google Ads, Meta Pixel and LinkedIn Insight Tag may involve disclosures of online identifiers or website activity that can fall within broad statutory concepts such as:
- sale;
- sharing; or
- targeted advertising
under certain U.S. state privacy laws.
Where those laws apply, Elitelia will provide the legally required privacy choices.
These may include:
- Cookie Settings
- Your Privacy Choices
- recognised browser-based opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC); and
- contacting privacy@elitelia.com
Where required by law, Elitelia will honour legally valid opt-out preference signals.
A cookie banner alone may not necessarily represent every statutory opt-out mechanism required under applicable U.S. state privacy legislation.
Further information is available in our Privacy Policy.
17. Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” or similar browser setting.
There is no single universally adopted technical standard governing how every website must respond to traditional Do Not Track signals.
Where applicable law requires Elitelia to respond to a recognised opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will seek to honour that signal as required.
18. Third-party provider privacy information
The analytics and advertising providers used by Elitelia operate their technologies under their own terms and privacy documentation.
Users may wish to review privacy and cookie information published by:
- Meta
Those providers may change the operation, names or retention periods of their cookies and identifiers independently from Elitelia.
The current Cookie Settings interface should therefore be consulted together with this Policy for the most up-to-date information regarding technologies active on the website.
19. Changes to this Cookie Policy
Elitelia may update this Cookie Policy when:
- cookies or similar technologies change;
- analytics providers change;
- advertising providers change;
- the website changes;
- our consent-management system changes;
- applicable law changes; or
- our advertising and measurement practices change.
The current version will always be published on this page together with its latest update date.
Material changes may also be reflected in the Cookie Settings interface where appropriate.
